Xiaomi is gearing up for a major event happening on August 14. At this event, they will be unveiling several new gadgets. One is the foldable Mix Fold 3, a cool device that can fold.
Another highlight is the Pad 6 Max 14, a really big Android tablet that can also work as a laptop. And there's more: they're introducing a fancier version of the Band 8 wearable, a smart accessory you can wear.
But that's not all! Redmi, a part of Xiaomi, is also getting in on the fun. They're bringing out the Redmi K60 Ultra, a really fancy phone. They've said it will use a chip called the Mediatek Dimensity 9200+, which is a pretty big deal. The phone's design has been shown on Weibo, a Chinese social media site.
The Redmi K60 Ultra's screen is going to be special. It can refresh really fast, like 144 times in just one second. This makes things look super smooth. And the screen's picture quality is going to be excellent - it's called 1.5K resolution. Even though it's a bit different from what's usual, which is 1440p, it's still going to be really nice.
They're even planning to make a version of this phone that has a lot of memory, like 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. This is more memory than most regular phones, even ones meant for playing games. It's even more memory than the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which is going to show up later this month.
The back of the phone will have three cameras, but only two of them are going to be really good at taking pictures. The third camera is there for basic portrait shots.
The main camera is going to have 50 megapixels, which means it can take really detailed photos. The other one will be a special kind of camera that can capture really wide scenes.
The whole story about this phone, like how much it's going to cost, will be told on Monday. To give you an idea, the previous version, the Redmi K50 Ultra, started at CNY 3,000 (that's about $415).
But if you wanted a special edition, it could cost as much as CNY 4,200 (that's around $580). This special edition was tied to a racing team called Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
